Du är välkommen att åhöra tre förmiddagspresentationer av experter inom området på ett öppningsseminarium med temat The interdisciplinary Living Lab The Sea - why marine and maritime studies matter for science and society.
Professorerna Erik Bonsdorff, Kim Wikström och Marko Joas presenterar tillsammans med profilområdets internationella gästprofessorer Per Jonsson, Kent Eriksson och Kristine Kern den marina och maritima forskningen vid ÅA. Stadsdirektören i Åbo, Minna Arve, inleder evenemanget med att berätta om den donationsprofessur i havsforskning som staden skänkt ÅA i samband med ÅA:s 100-års jubileum.

Åbo Akademi skärper rutinerna vid utbetalning av för sent inlämnade reseräkningar. Enligt gällande regler skall en komplett reseräkning inlämnas inom två månader efter avslutad arbetsresa. Om reseräkningen lämnas in senare krävs giltiga orsaker till förseningen, t.ex. längre tids sjukdom, olycksfall, e.d. Om sådana orsaker inte kan styrkas uteblir ersättningen. Läs mera... Lanseringen sker den 29 januari 2018. Kundregistret är ett system för att upprätthålla kontakten med personer och organisationer (alumner, externa och interna kontakter, kunder, deltagare mm.) samt för utskick av nyhetsbrev och publicering och hantering av anmälningar till olika typer evenemang. Planen är att som nästa steg samla in information från fakulteterna med målsättningen att ÅA har ett register där dylik information underhålls.
Ett popup-tillfälle ordnas där du kan bekanta dig med funktionalitet och innehåll den 30 januari kl. 13–15 i Åbo (ASA-aulan) samt den 5 februari kl. 13–15 i Vasa (ICT-service mötesrum B0308).

Blanketten för projektanmälan har uppdaterats till e-blankett. Du kan fylla i blanketten elektroniskt och också spara och fortsätta ifyllandet senare. Däremot är innehållet i sig oförändrat och det är fortsättningsvis nödvändigt att skriva ut ifylld blankett på papper så att ekonomisekreterare, ämnesansvarig och dekanus kan underteckna. Blankett finns på webben. Obs! Fakultetens ansökningsstatistik bygger på inlämnade projektanmälningar.

Under tiden 30.1–9.2 ordnas femton utbildningstillfällen i Åbo för lärare i inmatning och hantering av kurser och kursinformation i nya planeringsverktyget. I Vasa och Jakobstad ordnas utbildningen 14–16.2. Anmälan är öppen online.

Åbo Akademi University tightens the procedures regarding reimbursement of travel expenses submitted too late. According to the current rules, the complete expense statements must be submitted within two months following completion of travel.
Travel claims submitted hereafter, will be rejected unless there are valid reason for the delay; long-term illness, accident, etc. If the traveler cannot provide a medical certificate or other equivalent evidence to verify his/her reasons, the travel claim will not be reimbursed. The launch is on the 29th of January 2018. The CRM-system will be used for customer relations management with various contacts and for sending newsletters as also for publishing and managing notifications of various events. Next step is to gather information from the faculties with the target to have one register for ÅAU where such information is maintained.
A popup occasion is held where you can get acquainted with functionality and content on Jan 30 between 1pm and 3 pm (Turku, ASA aula) and Feb 5 between 1pm and 3pm (Vasa, ICT-service B0308).

The Friendship Programme offers the international visitors of the higher education institutions in Turku (students, teachers and researchers) and the local friends a chance for mutual cultural exchange and unforgettable experiences.
The student tutor helps with study related issues, but with the Friend from the local community it is possible to learn more about the Finnish culture and everyday life. All activities within the Friendship Programme are voluntary. It is up to the international visitor and his/her Friend to decide what they want to do together and how often they meet.
The participants of the programme are ordinary Finnish persons and families living in Turku or in the neighbouring area. The Friends can be of different ages ranging from students to pensioners. If you are interested in participating in the programme, you'll find the application form on the programme's website (link below). The deadline for applications is January 25th, 2018. The project notice form is updated to e-blankett. You can electronically fill out the form, and save and continue to complete the filling-out later. However, the content of the form has not changed, and, you still need to print the filled-out form for the financial secretary, Head of Subject and the Dean to sign. Link to the form. Please note, that submitted project notices are reported as statistical data regarding the applications from the Faculty.

During the period 30.1-9.2 fifteen sessions will be held in Swedish for teachers in Åbo, for handling courses and their information. Similar sessions will be held in Vasa and Jakobstad during 14-16.2. Sessions in English will be announced separately at a later stage. For the sessions given in Swedish, the registration is open online.
