The Master’s in Global Challenges for Sustainability is a unique international learning opportunity that will help you be a change-maker. 

You’ll work on real-life global challenges with national and international organisations and emerge with essential skills for the 21st century.

Förfallodagen för hälsovårdsavgiften är lördagen 15.3 för alla grundexamensstuderande som läsårsanmält sig senast 31.1. För dem som anmäler sig 1.2 eller senare är förfallodagen 31.7.

Åbo Akademis mediaproduktionsrum i Åbo och Vasa, solo-, video- och podcaststudion och XR-labben bokas numera via sajten studios.abo.fi. Där finns också guider och andra resurser som du kan ha glädje av när du skapar innehåll.

Boktornet har stängt för renovering och bibliotekstjänsterna har flyttat till Arken på Farbiksgatan. Vi vill gärna höra dina synpunkter om de förnyade utrymmena och samtidigt svara på eventuella frågor om bibliotekstjänsterna. Du är välkommen att använda Padlet-väggen.  

Naturligtvis kan du alltid komma och prata med personalen direkt! Kundservicetiderna är mån-tor 10 -18, fre 10-16, lör 11-15. De aktuella öppettiderna, inklusive tider när du kan komma in med egen HID-nyckel ser du i söktjänsten Alma.

3MT-tävlingen handlar om att sammanfatta forskningsresultat i ett engagerande föredrag som inte får vara längre än tre minuter. Vi har alla tävlande, och nu vill vi ha en publik! Du är välkommen att ta del av detta evenemang onsdagen den 19 mars 2025, i Auditorium Helikon, Arken, Åbo. Vi börjar klockan 13.00. Biträdande professor Anna Törnroos-Remes fungerar som konferencier.

Åbo Akademi anordnar professorsinstallation i Åbo fredagen den 21 mars 2025 kl. 14.15 i Solennitetsalen, Akademihuset (Rothoviusgatan 1). Dörrarna öppnas 13.45 och publiken ombeds inta sina platser senast 14.00.

Fakulteten för naturvetenskaper och teknik (FNT) installerar professor i marinekologi Christian Pansch-Hattich, professor i datateknik, företrädesvis programvaruproduktion Sébastien Lafond samt professor i miljögeologi Peter Österholm.

The due date for the student health care fee for degree students is Saturday 15 March, for students who have registered as attending by 31 January. For students who have registered as attending for the spring term on or after 1 February, the due date is 31 July. Åbo Akademi University's media production rooms in Turku and Vaasa, the solo, video and podcast studio and the XR labs are booked via the studios.abo.fi website. There you will also find guides and other resources that you can use when creating content.

The Book Tower is closed for renovation, and library services have moved to Arken on Farbiksgatan. We would love to hear your feedback on the renewed spaces and answer any questions you may have about the library services. You are welcome to use the Padlet wall.

The 3MT competition is all about condensing research result into an engaging talk no more than three minutes in length. We have the competitors, and now we want an audience! You're welcome to be part of this event on Wednesday March 19, 2025, in Auditorium Helikon, Arken, Turku. We kick off at 13.00. Associate professor Anna Törnroos-Remes will be the master of ceremonies.

Åbo Akademi University has the honor to inaugurate three professors on Friday 21 March 2025 at 2.15 PM in the Ceremonial Hall of the Old Academy Building (Rothoviusgatan 1). The doors will open at 1.45 PM and the guest are requested to take their places no later than 2 PM.

Inaugurated from the Faculty of Science and Engineering (FNT) are professor in Marine Ecology Christian Pansch-Hattich, professor in Software Engineering Sébastien Lafond and professor in Environmental Geology Peter Österholm.
