Studerandenytt är ett nyhetsbrev som riktar sig till alla studerande vid Åbo Akademi, och det utkommer varannan torsdag under terminerna. Nästa nyhetsbrev skickas torsdagen den 14 mars.

Efter vinterdvalan återvänder Studio Campus tisdagen den 12 mars kl. 15.00 med en presentation av vad allt som är planerat att ingå i Åbo Akademis nya strategi. Avsnittet handlar även om hur arbetet för att nå en hållbar ekonomi till 2030 kommit igång. Du hittar länken till Studio Campus på intranätet.

Du ska betala hälsovårdsavgiften för högskolestuderande om du avlägger en högskoleexamen och du har anmält dig som närvarande för terminen.

FPA skickar inte ut någon faktura över hälsovårdsavgiften, utan avgiften ska betalas varje termin på eget initiativ i MittFPA. Läs på fpa.fi hur du betalar hälsovårdsavgiften för högskolestuderande.

Under våren sätter ÅA mer fokus på hur vi bemöter och behandlar varandra vid ÅA. Förutom uppdaterade trakasseriprocesser blir det workshops för studerande och personal, en bäst praxis-tävling för föreningar och denna fotoutställning. Den 5.3 blir foajén i Academill en mötesplats för studerande och arbetsgivare från det pedagogiska fältet. Pedagogdagen är en finfin möjlighet för dig att utforska karriärmöjligheter, nätverka med branschens arbetsgivare och lära mera om ditt ämnesområde. Läs mera på abo.fi.

Är du magisterstuderande eller doktorand vid ÅA som har ett intresse för läkemedelsindustrin eller beslutsfattande i storföretag? Sök med till Bayers interaktiva simulation där du får öva hur det är att utveckla och lansera ett nytt läkemedel samt argumentera för dina beslut i rollen som t.ex. produktutvecklare, patentjurist eller projektledare. Fredagen den 8 mars är det igen dags för UniYH-dagen i Åbo för de som går andra året på andra stadiet. Antalet anmälda i år uppgår till rekordmånga 1 400 personer! Med så många nya människor på campus finns det chans att någon eller några av dessa potentiella sökande är vilse eller behöver hjälp med något, men vi hoppas vi alla försöker lite extra att ha koll på dem, stöda vid behov och får dem att känna sig välkomna.

3MT-tävlingen handlar om att sammanfatta forskningsresultat i ett engagerande föredrag som inte får vara längre än tre minuter. Vi har alla tävlande, och nu vill vi ha en publik! Du är välkommen att ta del av detta evenemang fredagen den 15 mars 2024, i Auditorium Helikon, Arken, Åbo. Vi börjar klockan 10.00. Du kan läsa mera om det här på intranätet.

After the winter hibernation, Studio Campus returns on Tuesday 12 March at 15.00 with a presentation of what is to be included in Åbo Akademi University's new strategy. On Turku and Vaasa campus we have rooms for temporary resting & the rooms can also be used as prayer rooms. You find the list of rooms on the intranet.

You must pay the student healthcare fee if you are studying for a higher education degree and have registered as attending for the current term.

You are not billed for the student healthcare fee but must make sure to pay it in OmaKela for each academic term. Visit Kela’s website for information about how to pay the student healthcare fee.

During the spring, ÅAU puts more focus on how we treat each other at ÅAU. In addition to updating the harassment processes, there will be workshops for students and staff, a best practice competition for associations and this photo exhibition. Through this survey, we want to gain more insight into what the situation is like at ÅAU when it comes to harassment and racism. The survey requires no identification and is therefore anonymous. Are you a master's student or doctoral student at ÅAU who has an interest in the pharmaceutical industry or decision-making in large companies? Apply for Bayer's interactive simulation, where you get to practice what it's like to develop and launch a new drug and argue for your decisions in the role of e.g. product developer, patent attorney or project manager. The application is open until 25.3. More information and the application can be found on the intranet.

On Friday, March the 8th in Turku, it's time again for UniYH day for those in the second year of upper secondary school.The number of registrations amounts to approximately 1,400 people, another record! With so many new people on campus, there is a chance that one or more of these potential applicants will be lost or need help with something, but we hope we all try a little extra, keeping an eye out for them, support when needed and make them feel welcome. The 3MT competition is all about condensing research result into an engaging talk no more than three minutes in length. We have the competitors, and now we want an audience!
